On a remote island in the Pacific covered by a long white cloud, a great forest exists. In this great forest a Kauri tree called Agathis stands stronger and taller than any of the other trees. Agathis is well over 2000 years old and has lived for hundreds of years with a golden secret.
Many years ago, long before my grandmother's grandmother lived, two beautiful fairies named Azalea and Gaia sang the most enchanting song in the branches of the mighty Kauri tree. When Agathis heard their perfect voices he fell instantly in love with them and offered to look after all the fairies of the forest. He promised to keep them safe from the night creatures that roamed in the darkness.
The Fairies made a magical city inside Agsathis's enourmous Kauir trunk. The city spiraled up on the inside and rose over 100 stories high. In the centre of the city the life blood of the tree flowed down like a golden waterfall emitting a glow as bright as the sun over the entire Amber city.
